Abstract
Dear Editor,
Hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection is a cause of acute epi- demic hepatitis in developing countries and of acute sporadic acute hepatitis in developed countries. From 2008 there have been published cases of persistent infection with development of chronic hepatitis in immunosuppressed patients (1). We present two cases of renal transplanted patients and HEV chronic infec- tion successfully treated with ribavirin (RBV).
